This multi-purpose toy was originally developed for use in Waldorf inspired early learning environments. Its intended purpose is to help children develop a sense of balance, stimulate their vestibular system, further develop their mind and body awareness and enhance their imaginations.
The Kinderboards are Dutch designed and the bamboo boards are made from 100% bamboo with absolutely no hidden veneer and finished with a protective lacquer stain. Bamboo is stronger than steel and more solid than many hardwoods, making it a versatile building material. Bamboo is also eco-friendly and produces more oxygen and absorbs more carbon dioxide than most other tree species. While hardwood can take up to 30-50 years to mature, bamboo takes just 3-5 years and requires no pesticides or chemicals to take it through to maturity.
The Kinderboard can support a weight up to 220kg and are recommended for use by both children (18 months ) and adults. To ensure maximum movement, the Kinderboards have no rubber trim and are 100% wood. The board is an even 1.5cm in thickness across the curve.

A finish is also available.
Adult supervision is required when playing with these boards. Children should be taught to never hold the edges and be aware of fingers and toes being caught under the board. Provide at least 2 metres of clear space around the Kinderboard when it is being used that is free from any other children or objects. Kinderboards should only be used on a flat, level surface. Barefoot or non-slip shoes should prevent slipping when using the board. Recommended for indoor use only.
