This multi-purpose toy was originally developed for use in Waldorf inspired early learning environments. Its intended purpose is to help children develop a sense of balance, stimulate their vestibular system, further develop their mind and body awareness and enhance their imaginations.
The Kinderboards are Dutch designed and are made from FSC certified and sustainably sourced German beech wood with a natural wood finish (no slippery lacquer!). They can support a weight up to 220kg and are recommended for use by both children (18 months ) and adults. To ensure maximum movement, the Kinderboards have no rubber trim and are 100% wood. The board is an even 1.5cm in thickness across the curve.
Balance, rock, push, slide, flip, spin, the possibilities are endless! Perfect for both mental and physical stimulation for toddlers right through to adults.
A finish is also available.
Adult supervision is required when playing with these boards. Children should be taught to never hold the edges and be aware of fingers and toes being caught under the board. Provide at least 2 metres of clear space around the Kinderboard when it is being used that is free from any other children or objects. Kinderboards should only be used on a flat, level surface. Barefoot or non-slip shoes should prevent slipping when using the board. Recommended for indoor use only.
